Played the concerto in G by Ravel with the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, under the direction of Sergiù Celibidache, (4 evenings) and dedicated repeats to him, after each interpretation, to celebrate his eighty years as a conductor . Three months later, stilI in Munich, they played Schumann' s concerto in preparation for the tour of Japan they were to make in autumn of the same year. |
